Mountain View Corridor 5400 S to 4100 S

Mountain View Corridor 5400 South to 4100 South a 2.2 mile of roadway 2 lanes in each direction with other phased construction to minimize impacts to traffic and stakeholders, consisting of five miles of frontage road west of Bangerter Highway. There were 4 steel and 17 concrete girder bridges, and 12 major cross streets. Stakeholder coordination and partnering helped win the Marvin M. Black Partnering Award, ENR Mountain States Best Project Award, AGC of Utah Project Manager of the Year (Bryce Jaynes), AGC if Utah Highway Project of the Year (Over $10M), and Utah Design and Construction Outstanding Project of the Year (Over $10M). Relevance to B3IC: Maintained all traffic movements along 12 arterials during intersection construction. Minimized risk to 20 utility owners and four major cities through partnering and achieved several million dollars in cost savings to the utility budget, as underscored by FHWA’s Excellence in Utility Relocation and Accommodation Award.
