Scope: RLW performed the concrete package for the expansion of a major industrial food manufacturing facility that produces more than 350 million pounds of frozen potato products each year. Work included excavation, shoring, foundations, mud and waste pits, process trenches, foundation stem walls and piers, and decks. 

Innovation: The team used a slab-on-grade and slab-on-metal deck design that allowed the team to work through winter to meet the aggressive schedule while adhering to all quality specifications. RLW integrated into the design-build process to provide input on sequencing, means and methods planning, and a construction approach that limited impacts to the plant.
