Ralph L. Wadsworth Construction built a deep foundation system for the airport’s redevelopment, consisting of 173 miles of 26 different lengths of driven piles (5,800 total piles). Deep foundation work included a tunnel extension to connect passengers to the new terminal that required piles driven to a depth of 120 feet on both sides of the existing tunnel.
