Working as a key subcontractor, Ralph L. Wadsworth Construction performed a significant role in the preconstruction phase of this site development for a large data center. The firm’s participation during design allowed the project team to incorporate constructability enhancements before construction began. The firm performed various soil testing in multiple areas to determine the most cost effective options to satisfy the project criteria and reduce risk due to soil conditions. They coordinated with the geotechnical designer to refine ground improvement solutions and create CAD drawings for approval from the owner and general contractor.

Ralph L. Wadsworth Construction provided early detailed conceptual design of wet utilities and a full 3D model. These and other preconstruction efforts led to cost savings in drainage features, phasing and logistics, and eliminating redundant design elements.
