Speer Blvd Parking Structure – Denver, CO

The 3rd level of an existing parking structure had completely failed and had to be replaced with a new post tension and rebar placed in concrete system. RLW was chosen for this work because of our ability to look at options that would make this process go smooth and be a safe area for all those that surround the area.

This project was a very technical project because of the adjacent office complex and grocery store that had to stay open during the demolition and re-construction process.

The project involved removal of 29,000 square feet of post tentioned concrete. Because the structure was attached to and existing building the cable had to be released prior to removal of the concrete.

The demolition began in May 2015 and was completed the end of June 2015. The project was completed in September of 2015 and is fully utilized today.
