QTA Parking Structure – SLC International Airport

RLW is currently constructing the cast in place concrete for the 500,000 square foot Quick Turn Around (QTA) parking structure as part of SLC International Airports Terminal Redevelopment Program.

The QTA is a full service 1 level post tensioned parking structure that will house the 7 contracted Rental Car companies operating at the Airport. The project also included concrete construction of the accompanying (3) RSS Building where heavy maintenance of rental cars will be performed.

The project began in NOV 2014; we are slated to finish in late NOV 2015. The concrete footings and grade beams were placed  on stone column earth reinforcing due to the poor soils. Highlights of the project include: 19,000 total cubic yards of concrete, 245,000 square feet of suspended post tensioned deck, 245,000 square feet of fully reinforced slab on grade, (204) 16’ tall concrete columns. All exposed concrete receives a Class A Architectural finish. At the height of construction, we utilized 2 crawler cranes on-site and 60 craft workers.
