The 1300 East Draper Roundabout consists of three pre-cast mural walls, the artwork having been designed and created by Tod Wadsworth, one of the owners of Ralph L. Wadsworth Construction Company.
The 84,000 pound concrete murals consist of three beautiful murals, the first depicts scenes from the Mormon Pioneer Trek to Utah. The other two feature Architectural and Cultural themes, depicting Draper’s history and current growth. The casting and finish work of each mural required approximately 300 hours, depending on the complexity of the various scenes in the mural. Loading, hauling and current placement of the first casting was done with a 65 ton crane.
