Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
· Develop department objectives and strategies to maintain an overall effective equipment program within the boundaries of corporate policy.
· Provide input and technical advice to effectively utilize all equipment resources. Assist Board of Directors with final equipment budgets and potential equipment purchases.
· In conjunction with the company’s strategic plan, analyze industry pricing trends and establish reasonable rental and recovery rates for equipment. Analyze equipment income and expenses to insure cost-effectiveness of programs. Assist the estimating department with equipment costs for proposals.
· Direct and supervise the Shop Manager to insure effective maintenance and repair programs, equipment safety programs, and equipment utilization on company projects and equipment leased to others.
· Monitor all yard and shop operations (corporate and project) to insure compliance with company programs and new technologies.
· Ensure that the housekeeping, site safety and the appearance of the shop facility and equipment represents Ralph L. Wadsworth’s corporate values and high-quality image.
· Work with Shop Manager to develop sources of suppliers for equipment, parts, and outsource capabilities to insure budget parameters are maintained. Oversee and coordinate all project equipment transportation needs are met on timely basis.
· Perform additional assignments as requested by the Board of Directors.

Education and/or Experience
Four year degree in construction or engineering and five or more years experience in construction equipment utilization (such as supervision or equipment management) or equivalent combinations of technical training and experience. Must possess practical knowledge of the function, operation, and maintenance of equipment in construction environment.
Certification(s)
No certifications required.
Language Skills
Ability to read (in English), analyze and respond to technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from co-workers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community. Ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors.
Mathematical Skills
Ability to apply complex mathematic concepts to practical situations and resolve complex accounting problems.
Reasoning Ability
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
Computer Skills
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Excel/Spreadsheet software; Accounting software; Database software; Internet software; and Word Processing software.
Supervisory Responsibilities
This position will supervise the work of employees in the Equipment Division
