Summary - Operates traveling or stationary overhead crane (cab or ground controlled) to lift, move, and position loads such as machinery, equipment, products, and solid or bulk materials by performing the following duties.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
· Observes load hookup and determines safety of load.
· Manipulates or depresses crane controls such as pedals, levers, and buttons, to regulate speed and direction of crane and hoist movement.
· Uses hoisting attachments such as hook, sling, electromagnet, or bucket as load requires.
· Cleans and maintains crane and hoisting mechanism.
· Inspects crane for defective parts and notifies supervisor of defects or malfunctions.

Education and/or Experience
At least three years crane operating experience with experience in girder erection and pile driving operations required.
Certification(s)
NCCCO Certification for Hydraulic Cranes up to 100 tons required.
NCCCO Certification for Lattice-Boom Truck Cranes up to 150 tons required.
NCCCO Certification for Lattice-Boom Crawler Cranes up to 120 tons required.
Commercial Driver’s License required.
RLW Certification required.
Language Skills
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
Mathematical Skills
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
Reasoning Ability
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
