Performs any combination of following routine, non-machine tasks to assist in erecting, repairing, and wrecking buildings and bridges; 

  • Removing forms from set concrete, filling expansion joints, etc.
  • Cleans work areas, tools, equipment, materials etc.
  • Lifts, carries, and holds building materials, tools, and supplies.
  • Digs, spreads, and levels dirt and gravel, using pick, rake, and shovel.
  • Mixes, pours, and spreads concrete, asphalt, gravel, and other materials, using hand tools.
  • Stripping concrete forms and decks, stacking wood, hand loading trucks and trailers, sweeping, etc.

Other general labor work. Education and/or Experience

  • Less than high school education; or a minimum of six months related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Language Skills

  • Ability to read, print and speak simple sentences in English limited to a number of two and three-syllable words. Mathematical Skills
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
