Awarded 2 Design & Build Contacts for Gunlock and Shivwits Bridges

Ralph L. Wadsworth Construction Company, Inc. has been awarded two design-build bridge replacement contracts by the Utah Department of Transportation (UDOT). Earlier this year the Southern Utah floods washed out the Gunlock, Northeast Gunlock and Shivwits bridges. The $1.3 million contract to replace the two Gunlock bridges is scheduled to begin with demolition of the old bridges in June, with a scheduled completion date in October 2005. The $0.6 million Shivwits bridge replacement contract will be completed within approximately the same time period. Kip L. Wadsworth, President and CEO said, “We’re pleased to have the opportunity to participate in these projects, and in a small way, help the surrounding communities move forward after experiencing such devastation. These new bridges will be around for a long time to come.”
