SALT LAKE CITY, Utah, June 9 -- Ralph L. Wadsworth Construction Company Inc. announced today that the Utah Department of Transportation (UDOT) has awarded the company a $6.0 million bridge re-construction contract along the lower six miles of Logan Canyon. The project includes the phased replacement of three bridges, construction of a pedestrian underpass and road widening and improvements.
Kip L. Wadsworth, President and CEO of Wadsworth said, “We’re very pleased to have been awarded this project. We’ll be performing much of the work during the low run-off period of the Logan River between August 2005 and March 2006, with a summer 2006 scheduled completion date.”
Addressing the potential impact of the project on the area, Mr. Wadsworth continued, “We’re a very environmentally friendly company and have had years of experience meeting and usually exceeding environmental requirements. In addition to providing a top quality product, our priorities will be focused on protecting the pristine Logan River environment and maintaining traffic flow in Logan Canyon.”
